| The Town of Eaton maintains 8 public parks covering a total
of approximately 40 acres. In addition 3 parks covering about 8 acres
are planned in the Governor's Ranch subdivision. The Town and Eaton
School District Re-2 work closely to make facilities available for exercise,
athletic events, recreation and family outings. Facilities include the
parks, a town-operated recreation facility, gymnasiums and athletic fields
at the various schools including the baseball/softball complex at Eaton High
School which was built with the cooperation of both the School District and
the Town with financial contributions from the Monfort foundation and GoCo
grant money as well as generous contributions of money, time and effort by
many area residents. |
