Town of Eaton Public Parks

City Park

Located next to Eaton High School at Park Ave and 3rd Street, City Park is the traditional old-town park.  With large trees, 3 picnic pavilions, a playground, horseshoe pits and softball backstop City Park is used by many for family outings, church picnics and class reunions.  The park is the center of activity for community days in July and for just relaxing.

Centennial Park

Centennial Park is one of the newer parks in Eaton.  Amenities include a basketball court and sand volleyball court.  This park is popular for practicing football and soccer for the younger crowd.  Off street parking is available.

Railroad Park

This park sits along US Highway 85 next to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.  This was once the site of the Railroad station.  There are no amenities at this park but there is off-highway parking for travelers who want to stretch their legs.

Old Tower Park

As the name suggests, this was the site of the old Eaton water tower.  No amenities but is an attractive area across the highway from the Railroad park.

Hawkstone Park

Hawkstone park is located in the Hawkstone subdivision northwest of the main part of town.  This 11 acre park has large open play areas, a playground, 9 benches arranged along a 1 mile walking trail and a 2 acre lake.

Eaton Commons Park

The park at Eaton Commons is located just east of the subdivision along the Eaton draw. Willow avenue runs along the eastern park boundary.  When completed Eaton Commons park will include a picnic area with playground equipment, a soccer field, two youth baseball fields and a "dog park" so fido can have some recreation as well.

Benjamin Eaton Memorial Park

Benjamin Eaton Memorial Park is located at the corner of Collins Street and Elm Avenue, at the entrance to the Maplewood subdivision.  This area is dedicated to the memory of Governor Benjamin Eaton, the founder of our community and Colorado's 3rd Governor.  At the corner of the park is a statue of Governor Eaton.

Maplewood Park

Maplewood Park, at the south end of the subdivision, is bounded by South Elm Avenue and Colorado Parkway.  This area is a detention pond for storm water and will include a skate park at the north end when completed.

Governor's Ranch Parks

The new Governor's Ranch subdivision is still growing.  There are plans in the works for 3 parks in the area which will cover over 8 acres.  Come back soon and read about the newest additions to Eaton's public parks.
