Water Service |
| The Town of Eaton provides potable water for residential
and commercial use through a contract with the North Weld County Water District. The water comes from Horsetooth Reservoir
west of Fort Collins, is treated at the soldier canyon treatment facility
and is delivered to Eaton by NWCWD pipelines. Water is used upon
arrival in town and is also stored in a 1.5 million gallon storage tank
located just east of the Hawkstone subdivision along WCR 39 and a 2.6 million gallon tank located west of town along WCR 33. |
| The potable water system is used for indoor use and, in
most of the town, for lawn and garden watering as well. In the newer
subdivisions (Governor's Ranch and Maplewood) a "dual" system is in place
where homeowners have a non-potable source of water for outside use.
This dual system uses irrigation wells from the farms upon which the
subdivisions are built and allows for lower water costs for homeowners as
well as reducing the strain on the potable water system. |
| Water
use fees are published elsewhere in this site. Residents are
billed monthly for water use, usually during the first week of the month.
Payment is due on or before the end of each month. |
Sewer Service |
| Sanitary sewer service is provided to all town residents.
The fee for sewer service is billed monthly as part of the utility billing
to residents. Sewer
service fees are published elsewhere in this site. |
| |
| |
Sanitation Service |
| Sanitation service is provided through a contract with Northern Colorado Disposal (353-4090).
Sanitation rates
are published elsewhere. Residents may choose to make other
arrangements for sanitation service, but normal pickups are billed through
the town's monthly utility billing. If another company is used or if
other arrangements are made the residents are responsible for payment to the
company. Recycling Service is provided by Northern Colorado Disposal. A $10 deposit is required for the recycling bin and there is no charge for the recycling service. Curbside pickup is done every other wednesday. Please call 353-4090 for details. |
Residential pickup is done on the following weekly schedule: Monday: Residences from Juniper Street and west, north of Collins Ave. Tuesday: "Old Town" - Addresses north of Collins from Juniper to Hwy 85 Wednesday: Governor's Ranch and Maplewood Estates Thursday: Hawkstone and Eaton Commons |
