It's been 18 years since the Great Western Trail Authority (GWTA) was formed between Windsor, Severance and Eaton. The GWTA raised nearly $1.6 million to complete the transformation of the abandoned Great Western Railway line into a scenic public trail connecting our communities. To celebrate, the Great Western Trail Foundation is sponsoring a race and ribbon cutting event on Saturday, April 20!

Great Western Trail Race

Produced by local promoter run.Windsor, the event features 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon race courses. The race Start/Finish area and the after-race festival are at Severance Community Park. Races begin at 8:00 a.m. and will be run on the Trail in both directions, toward Windsor and toward Eaton.
