Are you curious about your family treasures and their value? Daniel Geary of Eaton’s Lone Tree Antiques and Fine Art Gallery will provide his appraisal services from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m, May 9 at the A.J. Eaton Home & Carriage House Museum, 207 Elm Ave in Eaton. 

Geary, a well-known appraiser and antique collector in Northern Colorado, has 33 years’ experience working with historical American antiques and fine art.

Appointments are required, with a maximum of 20 minutes, and can be made by calling/texting Ruth Ann at 515-370-0895 (leave a message). Participants may bring one to three items with a minimum suggested donation of $10 per item (cash/checks/Venmo accepted).

Suggested items for appraisal include:
Native American baskets, pottery, weavings, beadwork, turquoise jewelry and paintings; antique cowboy saddles, spurs, bridles, chaps, buckles, hats, boots and rodeo memorabilia; along with art prints, toys, antique clothing, postcards, items from the Civil War and Indian Wars, weapons, musical instruments, historical photographs, books, advertising pieces, Northern Colorado historical items, sterling, coins, gold, and pocket and wrist watches.

Geary suggests bringing photos of any large furniture or other bulky items for appraisal. Please do not bring non-sterling/plated flatware or tea sets, Asian pieces, Beanie Babies, magazines or post-1920 newspapers.

The A.J. Eaton Home and Carriage House Museum, 207 Elm Ave., Eaton, is open each week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursdays, and Saturdays from 2-4p.m.  (with some holiday exceptions). Admission is FREE.
